Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

I should be feeling better about it being done

I really should be feeling better than I am about the whole ordeal being done and me still having my job.

I don't, though. I'm up in the middle of the night once again, thinking of all the people who were laid off so that those on top can pad their pockets more. And thinking that while I managed to come out of this with a job, it's just a matter of time before there is another round in which I will not be as lucky.

How did we fall so low so quickly?

I was one of the first to go after executing alot of jodys plan an singlehandedly the past 2 years. Let go by the always wonderful JP!!! she couldnt wait to get rid of me because she knew i had her number - i was a potential huge disruption to her plan. She kept all her favorite dummies - just the way she likes it!!!!

What do you mean "fall so low so quickly"? Pepsi's been this low for a long time now. This has been a long, dragged out execution beginning with the first round of rebadging 5+ years ago and continuing on a regular basis. You are all delusional and I really believe the higher ups get some sick twisted pleasure out of orchestrating these mass layoffs on a regular basis.

THIS IS NOT THE LAST TIME THEY WILL DO THIS! If you didn't get cut this time your time will come sooner or later.

I would like to know the percentage of people let go in the westchester office that had over 15 years with the company and received 2 weeks per year of compensation and will be collecting unemployment while looking for a job in a very good job market, not the worst scenario for those.

Wow, RZJ. Have you ever even had a job, or are you still sitting in your mommy's basement in your wizard's robe thinking you're funny with this crap?

It's not done though, not if you're in IT. Listen to Jody's webcast.

Oh f--- you. If you are still there and watched your colleagues get walked out, you probably played a part of getting them out the door and they know that believe me.

You’re not alone I’m with you 100%. Haven’t been able to sleep in days. The randomness of this whole thing is the scariest part. Valuable, hard working people with real knowledge are gone.

Hang in there and know you’ve got aleast one other person in the boat with you.
