I got laid off earlier this week. Didn't make a goddamned difference how much I contributed to the company, how marketable my skills were, how much I was entrusted to deal with. In the end, a boardroom full of greedy, tone-deaf billionaires decided that it was more important to line their pockets, rather than grow the company from the ground up with a force of passionate, talented people.

Yep me too. Only my CIO was there with her usual ice queen, im better than u attitude. She kept all her favorites and got rid of what she viewed as "problem people". I was one of the first to go Tuesday morn. I know she helped hand pick who was let go. I had 30 min to get my stuff and exit after i did the work of 3 people for years. Absolutely sickening
