Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Those left behind are the real victims of the wretched PepsiCo

My heart goes out to all of you that received unfortunate news this week. But in reality you are the lucky ones; those of us who remain are stuck working for the soul-s---ing PepsiCo which is one of the most vile US corporations in modern history.

This pattern of layoffs, rebadging, and restructuring has repeated many times over the years and those who survive each massacre are left on the front lines where our former colleagues fell off, making up for horribly inept upper management's mistakes, and working our assess off with unpaid overtime. There's no concept of work/life balance, there's no such thing as a lunch hour or leaving on time, and the sad part is many of us believe this is normal and can't see a world outside of PepsiCo's delusional vision.

Those who willingly stay after being repeatedly shown how ruthless Indra is are either desperate or naive, and I highly encourage you all to take your skills to another organization where, if you are not valued a bit more, you are at least not worked like a slave every day and are free from this sick game.

I can't speak for the person that wrote this post. But here at Gatorade in Indy, we do at least get a fantastic wage, thanks to our union. Everything else this person has said, however, is completely true and it's unfortunate.

Im a current employee in Plano. My department moved from HQ to Parkwood last year. In the past, I did get offers to leave but always stayed due to the 401k. This time I am taking any offer I can get and run.
