Does anyone know of any displaced Cos being offered ASM positions or hearing anything yet?

There is a lot of talk if you are offered a lower paying position within 50 miles and you refuse, you are no longer eligible for severance pay. Here is what the policy states
"Eligibility
Salaried and Management Non-Exempt Associates
You are eligible for severance benefits if you:
Are actively working, on leave of absence or on layoff status on or after you are notified that you are losing your job; and
Lose your job as a direct result of a restructure or reorganization which results in:
A reduction in force (downsizing)
The elimination of your position
The relocation of your position more than 50 miles further away from your residence.
Management non-exempt associates means associates who may or may not be salaried and exempt from legal overtime requirements and whom the company classifies and pays as hourly associates eligible for overtime pay. The company will determine which positions qualify as management non-exempt for purposes of this policy.
Displaced co here, 9 years in. Not only did I get robbed of any possible reinstatement or transfer or even bumping down to assistant, I just found out my wm stock purchase got basically stolen by the company. Its over 70 k they're playing like they don't know what I'm talking about. Calling a lawyer today, I can't believe what walmart has turned into
Got my call today. Sounds about the same as one of the ones above. An hour away with a pay cut as an ASM. I’m saying I want to stay with the company but be closer to home. I was specifically told that I could turn this down and would still be in the transition process until March 30. Was pretty much being read off of a script as far as I could tell.
Got my call today will see tomorrow what happens.
I got my call a bit ago they offered me an assistants spot 48 miles away and cut my pay to 55,000. I told them I would think about it but seriously don't know what to do. Any advice???
We lost a co that has been with company 26 yrs. He was told he was not going to be offered another position and would receive severance. No option to take another position. He worked circles around the co that was younger and best buds with SM. She kept her job and is getting 5% raise. I dont understand why they are letting knowledgeable co's go and keeping the lazy ones that hide in the office all day.
Placement for Co or ASM ?
It’s all a formality. They are basically not Keeping any displaced co for the most part unless you are part of the good ol boys crew. Just take your 60 days pay and severance and be done with it. Just a heads up
Some of the displaced cos in my market are starting to get placement calls today.
I am a co or was...anyway here I am a month later and still haven't heard anything. My store manager knows nothing or says he doesn't. This company makes me sick right now.
If any of the markets had any co manager positions that were not accepted they posted the openings last week and interviews are this week. They have until Monday to notify the ones they are placing in those spots. Then they will start the ASM spots.
My spouse just got a call from their (former) MM. Even though they passed the "eval" that was given they apparently didn't pass it by "enough" and as such they won't be retained. Frankly, we're happy as they've had some good interviews already and we'll get the severance to boot.
