At least today it should finally be over and I should be able to get a good night's sleep, whichever way it goes for me. I have spent the past two weeks stress eating myself throughout the night to an extra 10 pounds. I can't believe that's what working here has come to. In any case, good luck all.

Great words @RIsCHQf-sik!
I am just a contractor outside US but I wish all the best to my boss in Plano, no matter if she will continue her work in Pepsico or have to leave. But it would be crazy for Pepsico to let her go.
Unfortunately it's not over. I went through exactly what you’re going through. I was with PepsiCo for over 2 decades, and have seen layoffs almost on a yearly basis. I don't know much, but this much I know: There will always be layoffs/reorg/re-engineering/off-shoring, or whatever they spin it to. Probably forever. It's just a way of life at PepsiCo, and Corporate America in general. I hold no ill feelings toward PepsiCo. On the contrary. I'm ever thankful that they gave me a chance. Pepsi and their products are always welcome in my home. I wish them, and all of you nothing but good luck.
It's a crappy way to live. I never met any slackers in my years at PepsiCo. Everyone was hard working, and dedicated, but the bottom line is the only thing that counts in Corporate America. I was ready for change, so when my turn was up, I ran as fast as I could. There is a great world outside Corporate America. Most of my peers got better jobs with better pay, much less stress, and a heck of a better life work balance. Others just charted new roads, and yet other just opened their own business. I myself started my own consulting firm with emphasis on small to medium companies. I make more than I ever did in Corporate America, have less stress, and a great work life balance. Life is beautiful.
We all knew this was coming. Even if you make it through this round, you might not be lucky next time. You all need to take a quick hard look and make a decision. Is what you’re gaining worth what you’re losing? I decided it wasn’t, and was working on an exit strategy, so I used the layoff to my advantage.
I've had major corporate organizations reach out to me for full time work, but I'm happier working for myself. You have more creative control, and can spread your wings. In Corporate America they clip your wings. You will always be just a cog in the wheel. Good luck, I prayed for all of you yesterday, and will continue praying. Maybe we'll work together again, under much better circumstances.

Geez, that’s an extra 2,500 calories a day...
