Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

I don't buy that only 1% of workers are being cut...

I know that 1% of the US workforce is about 1100 people and that almost all of that is happening at Corporate, but based on the numbers I'm seeing just in Purchase and have heard about happening in Chicago, I'm guessing that 1% is some shady math (likely they're including all the jobs they're ADDING in e-com, not including people they're "retiring" etc. and taking a net to get the 1%).

I also heard that the top ten highest paid employees might be getting bonuses increases of substantial amounts. Obviously this is just speculation, but if that's the case, then I'm truly disappointing that they're cutting Admins while bumping their $

4 years ago I got f’d outta my “severance “ package so I wouldn’t assume they get one. I’m still listed as “re-hirable “ but when HCL was brought in that pretty much sealed the deal on any package. So 16 years of service I got the middle finger and a buh bye .

I am pension eligible and not cut...yet. I know some others pension eligible and not cut. So don't think that's a given for who they chose. Seems like a bad game if darts to me.

There's only a couple thousand at FLNA HQ plus however many left at Parkwood who haven't already been rebadged. So even a few hundred is a pretty big hit.

1% includes frontline production. Closer to 10% of non-frontline employees.

I'm sure the 1% is putting the situation in the best light possible. Can anyone confirm that all pension eligible folks are being offered a severance package? I guess you would have to do that across the board.
