I've heard Optical may split from pharmacy as far as market directors go, but not joining div. 1. They just hired a man to head up Optical only.

Any news about re-districting? Also heard split away from Health and wellness and merge with Div 1.

WALmart is the last place to go if you’re on a tight schedule.

As a huge retail store, there should be customer service at all times, optical and pharmacy should have enough employees to cover lunch breaks, we are all on a tight schedule, that's why we use wall Mart, disappointing when u go there and closed for lunch. Sometimes we have to use our lunch to run those kind of errands. And it's never the same time of day, iv been there twice two different times, closed for lunch.

If anything, I could see Walmart taking back the Optical centers from NV instead of giving them more.

National Vision also operates vision centers in 227 Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT) retail locations. The companies' 27-year agreement expires on Aug. 23, 2020, and will automatically renew for three years unless either party elects not to.

I agree about store management not having a clue however, from what was said we will get more info after YBM and after we get our checks with the bonus on it. Probably figure everyone will be in a good mood after that lol. I’m curious to see what if anything comes of these rumors.

That will be a disaster. Div 1 management has no idea how optical runs. I don’t really see how they could with all the HIPPA info. Can’t anyone just anyone from Div 1 just come in and work in optical or pharmacy dealing with people’s Rx.

Did anyone hear today that they are moving vision to division one?? A store manager and personnel manager both told this to a VCM.

I’ve also heard National Vision was going to take over all optical depts. They already run the optical centers in hundreds of Walmart’s and Sams across the country.

I have been told a lot of things. The only thing I know for sure is dept 40 DM will no longer report to the pharmacist or h&w MM. They will be Div 1 and report to the store manager. As far as optical all I’ve seen is speculation. Rumors of some opticals closing, going 3rd party or reducing business hours. But again that is all speculation and rumors. I haven’t seen anything set in stone for these depts.
