Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Anybody knows what's the bases for the layoffs?

Are they using performance as the deciding factor or will it focus more on getting rid of those who have higher pay?

We have a few people who should have been shown the door a long time ago, and if they are on the list to be laid off, I will be very happy. However, if they decide to lay off people with higher pay, we will lose some of our best employees.

Something tells me it's the second one, though...

I don't think they're going to lay off they're going to just going to trim because a lot of State are giving like a beer tax on carbonated drinks irregardless no most of us we don't even drink carbonated drinks anymore we drink fruit juicer you no Powerade or something else there's a thing about the Obesity in this country in carbonated drinks is our number one factor to contribute to obesity and diabetes so the states are going to start taxing the cities are going to start taxing the carbonated drinks

Any news on what the severance will be? I heard that they cut it in half, but then nixed that and went back to 2 weeks per year.
