They act like this is the first round of negotiations. Hock Tan was seen in Building N by many people right after Broadcom made the first offer. I would be surprised if there hadn‘t been meetings even before that (only then nobody paid attention to Tan being on Q premises). I think it is quite clear that they have been negotiating for a long time, and the board only wants a bigger golden parachute.
