Layoffs are starting today, February 7, 2018, in Bellevue, WA. Rumor is that Bellevue operation is being shut down.
This was posted by somebody else in the other thread, but I was hoping more people will see it if I repost it. Can somebody tell me if this is true? We haven't heard anything, and this does not sound like a thing that can be hidden.
Bellevue was officially shuttered today. Brad Surak (former GE Digital Chief Operating Officer who was one of a handful of people responsible for Predix) apparently has decided to layoff the engineering team behind Hitachi's Lumada IoT Platform. He is busy building his base of engineers out of the former Pentaho office in San Francisco (and not the corporate headquarters in Santa Clara since it's closer to his home). Brad is actively hiring former employees from GE who were layed off from GE Digital when they had a recent purge.
