Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

In Other News...

Corporate is launching the Enterprise Initiatives department...aka ISD version 2.0.

With 17 management roles (VP, AVP, 5 Directors, 10 Managers) and 18 analysts, their sole responsibility is to drive "pace" and execution of high-level initiatives in the organization. Seriously? We need a separate DEPARTMENT to help us do this?? This is management 101...what every SF leader should ALREADY be doing.

At this point, it's like we're a punchline to a bad joke.

Isn’t this part of the problem? 5 directors for 10 managers for 18 analysts???? They claim overstaffing and cut people but then do this. Ridiculous!

Well those folks are assured a role for the next 5 years while they figure out what the heck that are supposed to be doing. Are these the classic “Network and Insurance ed.” Folks?

Sounds like certain brown noses got golden umbrellas before the p--p showers hit.

Who are the actual people in on the decisions? What are there goals, targets and timing? Does anyone have their names? I think it is important to not have them operating in obscurity. Transparency and straightforward communication in the light of day is important. Did they set goals and then task each section with the implementation? It seems like there has been a running down, pushing out and targeting of older employees, anyone who used FMLA or leave time, and anyone questioning the effects on the customer and employees since 2013 for this latest reorganization.

Please tell me we won't still have business people with no Systems experience sitting in all the project meetings. They do nothing but kill the momentum of everything they touch. With only 18 analysts, I've got to think they won't be attending daily or weekly project meetings, but who knows...

What are the names of the department and the names of the executive and who have orchestrated and been the decision makers of the layoffs and cuts?
