Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Be careful Mr. I am a long time resident and employee will accuse you if be a Sidney, Bass Pro/Cabela's hater.

Not certain about the DC but corporate will definitely be impacted.

Wait to the foreclosure train comes to town, you have not seen anything yet.

Merger/aquisition what ever you wish to call it, the damage has been done. Many lives have been disrupted.

The social and economic destruction left behind by this course of action has not and is not localized to just Sidney

All any of us can do is make the best if the situation and salvage what we are able and move on.

I have no doubt you are pretending to be the person when who said you didn't have any ideal what I am talking about. . you posted 10 things which in reality had nothing to do with rather this is a business merger. What your post did contain were 10 comments which have a negative view on Cabela's. The 30 percent was one comment which wasn't to hurtful at all because any one who had any common sense at all would know this is a total and complete lie.

Sir with all do respect I have no idea who you are addressing in your comments, after reading and watching you I am sure you will claim and make accusation that I am the one posting all the hateful comments about Sidney and once was Cabela's,. Not so.

Have you ever considered that you are part of the problem blindly accusing anybody of being a hateful individual whose sole purpose is to cause hate and hurt

This is one of the few times I have posted so please feel free to blame me as well for all the problems.

But look to your self as well and see that you are part if the problem and not the solution.

I was upset you are basically attacking the company which is my life and the town I consider to me my home and also is home to my friends and neighbors which I care about. I think we can do great things in this situation if we all work together. This site can be of such an assistance which it has been at times in passing information along. however it can be a sad situation when negative comments are passed on which are met to basically hurt others with no basic truth behind the post at all.

Did anyone that owned stock in CAB get stock in the new company? Nope. Only Goldman Sachs. But, they got preferred stock of BP as collateral for a hugearse loan. It is an acquisition. In the end, JM will fold (or merge) CAB into BP and the new company will probably be just BP. Read the legals right now and you'll see what BL is doing to all of the former CAB companies. Merging them. Finally, I would presume the merger into one will happen to pave the way into one company. At that point CAB will merge into BP. But, until that happens, it was an acquisition. And, as one poster wrote, the outcome for the employees is the same! Forked!

Which execs were asked to chip in for severance for all the layoff workers? Cabelas

Which city has empty corporate buildings? Sidney

Which city has 30% of it's home up for sale? Sidney

Which company does not have a Senior VP of HR anymore? Cabelas

Which company lost it's board of Directors? Cabelas

Which company lost it's CEO? Cabelas

Which founding family is totally out of the retain business? Cabelas

Which company took out a loan of several billion dollars to complete deal? BP

To the last poster. Just because the former CEO of Cabela’s, JM and the documents filed with the SEC call this merger, doesn’t make it a merger. You can polish a turd all you want, but the way BP is handling Cabela’s, this is an acquisition . And no I didn’t start this topic, but in my current job. The company I work for, just purchased or acquired, another company and no one is calling it a merger.

To the poster who said this is not a merger. You are saying the CEO at Cabelas , the owner of bass pro and the document filed on the SEC with this transaction are wrong. My question to you what is your background? A very simple question to answer.

Who cares what it is called, classified or registered as. The end result is that copius amount live have been ruined by the mismanagement of a once vibrant company, and at least one community lays in ruins.

The end result a few received the rewards while the masses are left holding the bag and have to pick up the pieces of thier lives and attempt to start over or rebuild.

Jim, Mary and D--k didn't want a merger. I know this for a fact. They wanted out of the business. And that's what happened they cashed a big check.

Facts to support the merger " 1. Tommy Millner CEO at Cabela's called this deal a transaction A MERGER 2. Johnny Morris owner of bass pro call this transaction 3 . In the document filed with SEC referred to this transaction as a merger. Therefore the CEO at Cabela's, the owner of bass pro referred and the SEC referred to this transaction as a merger. .
