I worked for Sears for almost three years. Almost a year in, the salespeople were leaving in droves. Either they were retiring or they just up and left. So, our store hosted a hiring blitz where they would interview and hire on the spot.
One of the candidates asked me where the interviews were being held. She was so beautiful and her voice just sounded so heavenly. When I finally got my thoughts together, I pointed her towards the main office. Her smile melted my heart and turned my blah day into a great one.
Well, she got the job, and better yet--she was in appliances just like myself. Through the weeks we became so connected with each other. I finally had the courage to ask her out.
It was actually kind of fun to hide all of the feelings we had for each other at work. We also one-upped each other with PAs and credit and poked fun at each other, all in fun. About four months in to our newfound relationship I ended up getting hired on at a mattress retailer as an assistant manager and even though we were still dating, I missed being around her. Between her schedule and mine, we didn't see each other as much.
A year later she is my fiancee and we are getting married on April 21 of this year. Being at Sears was an interesting experience, some times were good, other times were bad, but I an so glad that I stuck around because I met my soulmate. For that I could never not appreciate being at Sears despite all of the adversity. I am very greatful that the stars aligned and I met my best friend, soulmate and future wife at Sears. She is the best thing I ever got and will ever get from Sears.
I know you probably won't come across this, but I love you M. Love, T.
