That’s the same package as a layoff, right? So, we’re asking for volunteers for layoff now... WTF?

VJE is one week for every year plus 6 months of cobra at you current employee rate. This is for non-union salary employees.
Is there any medical coverage included for a period of time? If so how long? Would Cobra be available and did the talk about cost?
What about VJE? How is that done?
I was on the call with HR. The VRIP is for emoyees that turn 60 by March 31, 2018. They also removed the 10 year service requirement.
