He gets his bills paid! The club card in addition to driving customer loyalty literally is paying for everything. We certainly know the dismal sales aren’t making him rich. He has NASCAR endorsements for that.

You all keep talking about the credit card side of the business. What does JM get out of the credit card business?
yes that is correct. it was only about the credit cards.
You’re joking right? It was never about the boats. Cabela’s sold very few boats in the big picture of things and certainly wasn’t a direct competitor with bp when it came to boats, fishing, marine, etc. Cabela’s was only purchased for their credit card business. Period!!!!
JM doesn't care about the cards. He cares that he now doesn't have a major competitor in every market anymore. Now he has pricing power. If you are going to buy a boat and all that goes with one, you have very few choices now. So now he can up the price and profits.
Huh? Yes, the club card is still there! No, it’s not World’s Foremost Bank anymore but he still got allllll those accounts when they transferred over to capital one.
So to the victor go the spoils? You wrote that JM bought Cabelas for the club card. Does that mean that the real money is in the usury side of the business? That does not compute as the bank is no longer part of of the BP-Cabelas ownership, right?
Now you are getting the point...there really can’t be a Cabela’s lifetime guarantee anymore when bp owns the company. The stores are all being rebranded as bp-Cabela’s outdoor world in the very near future. JM will leave nothing as it was. He only bought the company for the club card and as you see it is being switched to the MasterCard which is what is offered through his bp stores.
Where will all the returned Cabelas brand 5 year old, used product go then if they do away with the bargain caves? Gasp! Is BP planning to do away with the lifetime guarantee?
From what I'm hearing from my GM the BC will be going away sooner rather than later. There is a big push to sell through the BC product in the stores right now. BC processor position will be eliminated. Not sure what will happen with the floor space, probably just more room for fishing and power sports. That's all BP cares about anyway!
Besides Powersports the stores have become Bargain Caves. Waiting to see what JM pulls out of his a-- for new product. The majority of stores are tanking this year, and it will get worse. Pretty sure reducing outfitters will work out real well in the rebuilding of CAB.
