Have you been to Saudi, worked there? Even the people that run the country do not live there. Give it time to implode like always.

Nothing made in Saudi leaves Saudi (or very little). The customs and paperwork is just too much of a pain. If you currently make tools for Saudi then you will be at risk. Otherwise no bother

Prestigious? This means more "prestigious" layoffs at other manufacturing centers, and "prestigious" bonus for greedy SLB executives for their "prestigious" achievement.

They had to build the center as it was part of the' Aramco deal'. Schlumberger will be the first client on the industrial park and will hopefully attract others. Same happens in shopping malls, get a prestigious client in and others will follow....the word 'prestigious' is loosely used here though.

Paal Kibsgaard, Chairman and CEO of Schlumberger, commented: “The new industrial manufacturing center will collocate our upstream and midstream manufacturing in the Kingdom and complements the footprint Schlumberger has built over many years. We believe our commitment puts Schlumberger in a position to attract the best local talent, to grow within the Kingdom, and to export within the region.”
