I don't care what level an issue sits as long as the swings are wide and predictable. WFT liquidity and low share price provides easy opportunities for the new investor to realize gains with relatively low starting capital. Not surprisingly, WFT is quite representative of the company in general. It is a good issue to learn the ropes and make some money. Once you have honed your skills, you should move on to bigger and more stable investment opportunities. Learn to ride the waves, don't treat WFT as a long term investment until it posts satisfactory balance sheets, and don't be a bag holder.

Stock is back?? WTF, WFT. When your nearest pear is trading at a *10 multiplier you say the stock is back.
Maybe when it gets back to something respectable like the 20s, last seen in 2014. Heck, I would take the teens. This stock comprised a lot of my write off this year, although I did save some just in case it gets sold and bumps to an astronomical 7 or 8. If nothing else it will be another write off in 2018 just like the this year.
The only thing you can count on Weatherford to do for you is, Disappoint.

Down 18% on the first day of the year. The management has been trying to raise the stock to 4 usd since last conference call. They lost it at one shot today. Clock is ticking for WFT
I doubt the stock will stay in the market for 12 more months.
