Wow that's really bad. I have an interview with . If I get the job, will be taking a large pay cut . Maybe I should change my mind.
My guess is they want to "layoff" those employees that have worked with Aetna for a long time, out with the old, in with the new. The same exact thing happened 2-3 years ago, bragged about all the work that was supposedly coming in for the new year, bragged about all the overtime we were getting, hired a bunch of people. And this is what actually happened: The months of January, February-no overtime, work volume low, (gee, I wonder why) all the people they hired had something to do with this. By spring time, they started encouraging people to apply for different positions within the company, even had "interview" and "resume" training classes. Then by the month of May, the layoffs happened. And you know what their excuse was? "We're overstaffed."
