Some C-Level executives canceled their trips as they need to plan for the next layoff round.

There are no additional layoffs planned right now. Any terminations will be based on individual performance-related circumstances and not financially driven.
Use your heads, people. This post doesn't make any sense. What C-Level executives would be canceling trips to "plan for the next layoff round?" Sean? Rachel? Rick? Their role is not to sit in a room together "planning layoff rounds." Furthermore, if there was going to be another round of layoffs needed, this would be forecasted for well in advance, not some last-minute surprise that trips would be getting canceled over.
You can all believe what you want from whomever you want, but I give you my anonymous, pseudonymous word - as someone who is in a position to know - that Sabre has no layoffs planned, and certainly not before Christmas. The company is doing just fine, and the measures we took earlier this year have been effective in attaining the numbers we need.
@Qzpeynt-2dbl- No doubt. Look at all the great "leader imports" that can repeat industry buzz words and that is it.
Low cost country- you mean india :) ...better to shut down the company
Here's a cost saving idea - Move all the VP and above positions to a low cost country.
Paying premium dollars and getting screwed makes no sense.
Maybe they will flatten the dang bloated off chart of the dozens of VPs and SVPs at $200K-$330K/yr. Who can effectively manage 1500-2000 direct reports and all of the interconnected projects? Scrum it up!
A big Morale booster for the Holiday Season.
Just the thing we need to spice up things at Sabre.
Happy X-mas and New Year 2018 !!!
