I've been working for this place for over 10 years. We were bought by Windstream in 2010. Since then, our company has gone to "sh--". Has gotten worse over & over each year. Every time we've had a layoff it has caused more pain and grief for our business. This last riff was it for me. I am going to leave this dump after the first of the year. Windstream has no clue how to run this business at the level above the individual contributors. They do not understand that we run the company.....not the other way around. Middle management is very lost and insignificant other than treating people like we just got out of college.
I have over 18 years experience and "zero" respect from this company. You just don't approach people with an attitude after a mass layoff, cram training down our throats, have a Nextgen mss blackout period while acting like nothing happened to those 900-1300 comrads that just got walked out the door. All while at the end of each year in telecom, people like to settle down during the holidays and take some time off. What a joke!! It's real simple:. They need sales and stop the bleeding. It's too late people! Management has been their problem the past 5 years I've seen more managers fly around to meetings that they bring no value to and talk big but nothing is getting done other than blowing expenses like we grow customers and deals off trees. Now we are hemorrhaging to the point that the new saviors- Layne Levine and team needs to save the day, and quick! Big hat with no cattle!!!! These guys are up a creek without a paddle. All they knew to do was to lay people off just causing more damage than they could afford. It will be an easy sell on the other side so good luck with the suffering, it's not gonna get any better.
