My post about 1,000 layoffs in Atlanta is based on info I received this afternoon from a GE employee. She confidentially threw out the number 1,000 and even mentioned a good amount of those were in 4200 but also 3200 and 2018. I presume this number also includes Buckhead and Alpharetta.
I was shocked when I heard this number but this person has been with GE for over 10 years and I have no reason to think she made this up. I hope it's not true.

I'm with @QvPj7MF-oit, I received the "Required Meeting" invite from Energy in 2013 (and from Aviation in 2016, FML...) so I encourage all Power employees to stay off their computers tonight. Finding out at 8:05 AM is much easier than finding out at 9:30 PM. Either way, good luck to everyone.
For what it's worth, my stress level is much lower than it had been from 1996-2016.
Most of the posts have been proven totally false. It seems some people are just bitter and want to upset people. If it was true why would a person post it other than to get people upset.
