BDX Maryland Targeted Cuts Coming Soon

The really long earlier thread noting the coming closures in Maryland is certainly in the works. The company is going to take advantage of some of the deregulation at the federal level. BDX Execs want to reduce costs by cutting. They recognize the fact that deep across the board tax cuts for the most well off corporations will take its revenue stream to a different galaxy when cuts are made at the same time taxes are cut.

They will be looking at many Mergers and Acquisitions and bigger bonuses for execs. These bonuses will be huge because of the even larger profits and revenue streams.

BDX execs through their bean counters have come to believe that there are many salaried personnel who have the title, “Engineer” but are not really, “Engineers” but salaried staff they can do without.

Those personnel with titles like, “Sustainability Engineer/Facilities” have become a laugh to HR and Execs. Deregulation and the coming tax cuts for corporations will further advance the cause of generating more profits by cutting what they now consider, “fake Engineers” who either aren’t needed or can be outsourced at much lower salaries.

Salaried personnel in Maryland will, from all signs, get little to no warning. And yes, Supply Chain in MD are in the hairs targeted too.

This used to be a company that valued its people. Now working people who make other rich are increasingly realize we don’t matter.

I voted for Trump over Hillary. After decades here, I now know that we shafted ourselves. Green lights are being expanded to cut, outsource and push for more deregulation that are making cuts all the more possible.

Maryland, we here wish you the best. There is nothing we can do to help. There is an unstoppable initiative underway to make a very profitable BDX even more so. The message is, “You ain’t special. Let me help you off of your high horse.”

Sadly, we emboldened them by thinking they would always treat us with respect. You have no rights as a BD salaried worker, that is the message Maryland will get. Hang in there the next 6-18 months.
