Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

And UOP fails again

Genesys(a MAJOR system for you non-UOP folk) rolls out today for a lot of us, and just like always, it immediately fails. I've Never seen anything run smoothly here. Bravo UOP. Bravo. You never cease to amaze me. It still shocks me our doors are still open.

I am a reporter with the Daily Caller News Foundation, a news organization based in Washington, D.C.

Currently I'm taking a look at UOP, the layoffs, closing of classes, closing of campuses. Anyone out there wish to talk to me about your experiences?

Email me at rpollockdc@gmail.com if you wish to bring to me your stories.

UOP will go down as one of the worst places to work and to attend as a student.

Vocado was bought because of a grudge against the vendor that had many customers. Vocado had none and still we are the only customer. The common factor is the Leader that bought it. But there are bigger issues.

Come on, people. Take a look at the IT garbage they have thrown at us for the last 3+ years. Also take into consideration a former VP who hasn't had to work and is traveling around the world (Vocado kick backs??? Just asking)

Who is on these committees when they decide to purchase these f***ng apps? Not the people who have to use them.

There is a Director and VP that had to have this done or else. Look who deployed it and who they report to. Correct on all count$

System is a joke, as any ER knows. We here from academics how terrible it is and how many problems it has.....but they push it out anyway. LOL. I bet someone did get a bonus for pushing it out by a certain date. It’s almost like the new group is purposely running UOP into the ground. SELL OFF!!!!!

Maybe someone(s)' wallet got a little bigger going live with the system by a certain date?

LOL!! What do you expect when layoffs are not based on experience and talent (or to be more clear - the lack of experience and talent!) but based on salary and tenure. And the VPs always promise more than can be delivered.

LOL. We can’t spend a cent on anything for the company or employees. How much in employee time and lost prospective students did we lose today?

So surprised that the company would set a must get it done deadline when it is not in the best interest of our students and staff. Whoever this RD is they need to know they are bringing down UOP. I agree slow clap. Well done

Slow clap for the idiots responsible for the Genesis implementation. No one in enrollment could make calls all day today! Can’t say I am surprised.

Great job RD as you failed again. This Dir is horrible and should burn for this. Why would they push a deployment that they knew had critical defects and still go?

Must be encouraging for the students to see that a University can't execute what it preaches in its classrooms....
