I’m hearing word of active shooter drills at corporate as well as talk of more armed security being contracted. Anyone else hearing that. There looks to be some kind of manager movement to locations that don’t have managers onsite so maybe more notifications for people in these remote sites? The word about active shooter drills and armed security is worrisome. Just wondering if anyone else has heard about or seen any of this?

People be prepared. Before the end of January is out there will be more information sent out about systems rank and file employees reduction. I think it will be severe based on everything we have seen thus far and I don't think analyst will stand a chance.
There is also word that there are undercover security walking around.
Totally agree with the previous post. There are so many corners being cut in systems already (due to the mess created with CDE), and this is plainly evident upon even the most cursory review of new applications.
WIth all the terminations, It's going to get worse.
Much worse.
Every word above is so true. The money SalesForce has been paid for a Customer Relationship Database and for the Farm to take all its atequated systems to house customer data in one system is criminal AND it doesn't work! State Farm has paid so many other vendors tons of money to make it "kinda" work. Agents and customers are the least of executive worries, they are too busy cutting seasoned employees and trying to save face by releasing a sub-par software and hide the criminal amount of money they spent on it. A company once on top, the top is now doing all they can to bring it down while lining their own pockets. GJ is rolling over in his grave!
I don’t know what they expect destroying some people’s lives and then sending out videos saying God bless you and We care about you. Our leadership is so awful can’t evrn put it into words.
But, but...they said we still have "around 15,000" employees in Bloomington-Normal.
B.S. I heard it was closer to 13,000, pre-buyouts.
Notice how the lay-offs keep coming in waves? In addition to more obvious reasons like the desire to smooth out operational impact, one reason might be that the executives want to limit the number of laid-off employees on site at any one time for security reasons.
Yes, in his Executive Briefing the active shooter exercise on C-1 was described and he said that armed private guards would be deployed to (supposedly) as yet undetermined locations.
Welcome to the machine.
Yes armed shooter drills real. Bloomington normal will soon be flint Michigan. Yeah capitalism!!
Did anyone see Tipsord’s executive briefing last week/this week? I heard someone say he mentioned the armed guard initiative in that briefing.
I was going to say that active shooter drills is definitely a good thing, I just don’t remember ever going through one. People did make fun of how real the acting was for the active shooter scenario in our annual compliance training. This just seems a little ominous now.
Prayers for all that neither one of these situations occur.
I haven't heard this, but I'm not in a position where I would. However, I do suspect more announcements are coming after the first of the year. I think they're going to give people their holiday time, then drop another bomb.
As far as the shooter drills go, it's a good idea in any case. There are a lot of impacted people wandering around in Bloomington. All it takes is one nut to create a very bad situation.
