We will kick-off the event with a story of how the new Weatherford CEO and his leadership team go beyond job restructuring to take a closer look at the culture of the organization to better understand its people and how the business operates. We will detail the path that HR and operations have taken together to drive a cultural transformation from the field to the corporate office.

WFT Sales Reps couldn't peddle pu--y on a troop train on Payday !!!
Sales isn't selling anymore. Just going through tickets and logging them in salesforce. Why does sales get a bonus but not operations. Isn't operations more important. Sales don't happen without operations to execute. It's ridiculous some sales make more than operations. Take care of operations!
Weatherford needs to get rid of Salesforce.com. Break down the hierarchy of the Sales organization, and have all salesmen report directly to each local manager whose product line they support. Get rid of all the Area management VP's and area managers and run the entire world by product line. They need to fire 50% of their back office before they can be profitable.
As I said, the Executives are making the same old mistakes. They are running scared right now to save themselves. And they don't care how much money they waste to get everyone in line. Moving offices, more layoffs, expediting fees to speed up deliveries to meet their KPI's at the cost of cash out the door. All because of poor planning.
They paint the floors and put foam inserts in the tool drawers because of that "Lean" training. Which is all well and good, but give me a break. Lean Training is really just common sense. WFT's managers need a training course just to remember what common sense is. Because they have all lost it.
What a load of sh-- I spend most of my time at WFT painting floors and hiding old tools and equipment ready for useless visits by senior managers who dont make eye contact or acknowledge your presence in anyway.
To say they now want to have a face to face relationship with employees makes me vomit, WFT management should stick to getting us out of this mess by chasing good paying work rather than having useless meet and greets with employees they wouldn't even invite in to their own homes unless they wore a spacesuit for fear of spreading commoner germs.
Don’t worry the GBSC will solve all our problems, they have done such a good job so far!
Believe that is bankruptcy they’re left with
It may be too late to save WFT now. The cash is gone and the new guy is speaking the same old trash, which means he bought the story from the Queen of the Towers. He has been absorbed, so there is no hope for WFT. They will sell off the crown jewels and what will WFT be left with? A huge bureaucracy supporting an even smaller revenue base.
WFT continues to make the same mistakes it has all along. And guess what, there is 1 person still there, that has always been there. Danielle Nichols. Who is now in charge of the "Towers". Queen of the Tower, Guess what, centralizing functions is what greedy executives do. Pushing control down the chain and creating separate operating units would have been the better solution. WFT's drive to move into India and Phillipines with all the back office stuff only cost them millions. Controlling everything from the Tower on SJP only created a huge bureaucracy that is less efficient.
Leasing all the office space is another mistake they made, and is a concept they learned in some conference they went to in Las Vegas. The truth is, owning the facilities is the only way O&G companies can survive the bubbles and busts.
The one thing I loved about WFT was all the hard working people (the little people) who focused every day to do the best they could. While the Suits would take credit for everything and continue making bad decisions.
I was just laid off (Riff'd). Reason was, my boss didn't like that I worked from home while my house got repaired from the Hurricane Harvey Flood Damage. I had approval to do so, but she forgot, and then got angry about it. You would think they would have compassion for those people who's homes were damaged. Anyway, she took this opportunity to let me go because of the meetings they held this week Monday and Tuesday. Another big restructuring. Or I guess, they are being forced to let more people go because WFT can't seem to make money no matter how hard the employees work. Too much overhead in my opinion.
Issue is, if you only talk to top management that led the way to the company arriving at almost 8 Billion in debt, do you really understand the business better? I don't see how it would be possible.
You don't talk to the folks getting out and getting their hands dirty but take the word of a manager that is fearful that it will be discovered they don't know what they are doing
, or worse, they do but have checked out and are just riding the paycheck to the end.
Don't forget that nothing is communicated to field hands for fear they will wake up and leave to find a job (not better, just one that will be there and show them some respect)
The worst thing ever the CEO did is trying to standardize the organization which will never work in small company like Weatherford if we compare it to HAL.
Each product line has different structure to be able to make money for this company
Cultural transformation? Corporate office? There wont be a corporate office soon, they are outsourcing all the work to India.
CEO is actually speaking to a group in Houston with this being the topic. Believe the point being made here was the absolute crap that is being but out there. WFT has a new group selling BS the same as BDD did just with a new twist.
Would love to see this same discussion be done with the rank and file employee and watch how it is received.
What are you on about, did you forget to write the rest
