Calgary Canada hit today. 11 employees.
“Global Actions” - - I’ve had enough of these Croutonville Buzzwords. Is that supposed to make us feel better about being booted out the door? The problem with GE, as most agree, has been leadership actions or lack of actions. I’ve simply had enough!!!
Confirmed by management that November 30th is the day for "Global Actions" whatever that means.
At GE Greenville, there were meetings last week and today (11-28) scheduled with E-band managers, HR, and VPs invitees to discuss those employees who are on their teams that will be impacted - this part is not a rumor. Rumor part (that appears to be linked to the timing of these meetings) is that on Thurs 11-30 that impacted Greenville salaried employees will be informed of being laid off and discuss their severance pkg via the “HR confidential” meeting notice. It appears that any impacted employees that might only be given 4 weeks would need to be notified this week in order to be off the books by year end. So we will see on Thurs if the rumor is true or not.
Many layoffs occurring on Thursday in the Houston offices.
Not true. It depends upon the division are working. Foe example, Nuclear division has very little revenue generating business now or in near future. No layoffs there. They are still ganging in with almost 1600 employees.
