that would be a truly bad sign. they’ve never done it that close to the holidays. before raises sure. but now? i think folks are safe until after the new year.

HA. You're a naive noob. Mattel has had MANY December layoffs if you look back far enough. When we were in MUCH better shape than we are now. So sure, assume you're safe! Run up a huge Christmas credit debt! Mattel and M-Go got your back. The BoD has your best interests at heart. They're good people. Then BOOM, you're laid off in mid-December. Merry Christmas! Say hi to the unemployment line with all the other idiots who trusted Mattel with their lives.
Actually they have traditionally done it oct or nov and then in spring.
