Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

From a Good Source: Canada is being relocated to Bartlesville

COP has worked with the State of Oklahoma and the Canadian government and will announce a Q4 sale of Canadian oil and pipe it all to Bartlesville. ECO in 2018 will result in COP providing early retirement to all of the posters of layoff.com, since it isn't fair that COP holds these positive and uplifting people away from providing their true value elsewhere.

It must be true - I heard this from a very reliable source who told me about it as he was signing the paperwork to close down Bartlesville.

P.S. The low oil prices over the last two years has nothing to do with the company profitability. I heard from a reliable source that it was COP management who drove prices low and should be blamed for the industry woes.

I live in Tulsa and have always wanted to visit Canada but it is just too far. If CoP could relocate it to Bartlesville, I could go all the time. I assume that West Edmonton Mall would replace Washington Park? That would be nice for me. Not such good news for Woodland Hills though.

Canada is being relocated to Bartlesville? Canada has a total area of 9,984,670 sq km. No way will Canada fit into Wagoner county. Maybe before all the casinos - but not now.

OP may be on to something. Rumor is that management is telling most people in Bartlesville to take off the week of November 20th. Plan is that while they are gone, all the locks will be changed. I did a quick survey and it looks like a lot of people will indeed be gone from the office next week.
