Retailer Meltdown Official

Some of you still haven't figured out this is much, much bigger than BBB.

2017 is going to easily surpass 2008 and 2009 as the year of the most retail bankruptcies and store closures.

And for those buying into the "It's Amazon's fault" narrative, think on this.

Online sales as a whole makes up only 9% of total retail sales, and Amazon is only a percentage of that 9%. So, if you believe Amazon is doing this, you need to take basic math.

No, we are in a recession again, and a bad one shaping up to be very bad.

BBB needs to disappear. They treat their employees like garbage. They don't care about customers. They use the 20% coupons to lure people into their stores. Their prices are higher and their merchandise is not any better than anything you would buy at WalMart. They kept opening stores and got too big too fast. They kept buying other companies. Instead of staying "lean and mean" someone got a little too greedy to the point that store clerks were lucky to get a DIME raise. This is one company I will be glad to see gone.

"BKs are mostly to get out of leases so chains can downsize."

Countdown until you figure out WHY they need to downsize...

1,000,000,000.........

Yeah, you're not too bright, I figure you're going to need some time to piece this together.

BKs are mostly to get out of leases so chains can downsize.

Lack of investment caught up with anyone.

Shoping in chain stores is a dismal experience nowadays, there are some exceptions but still...
