Rumor has it that 30 to 40 % cut during coming months. There is absolutely no hope for a meaningful contract and to employ that many people on nickel and dime type jobs.
They wont get a dime. It was a natural disaster, not GE's fault. Money hungry lawyers trying to get lucky.

Every one knows that the nuclear division in desperate state now and for the coming decade. Upper management should be transparent about employee's future, the sooner the better. this will prevent all kinds of rumor cascading through this bulletin board.

You are right. Toxic asset cant be disposed off. In the mean time guys, collect pay checks doing nothing or very little. What a company!!!
Who in the world would want to buy a Nuclear division? Toshiba basically bought Westinghouse's business and because of cost over runs on the few next gen plants they are building, are nearly bankrupt.
