Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Flannery is all for himself

Just saw the CNBC interview and it seems Flannery was more interested in stating how good he is. He spoke about his track record as Healthcare CEO (he started to say the same thing the second time but changed his track realising how desperate that may have sounded), the fact that Alstom deal losses happened because of delays and pointed that he had completed one year in healthcare job by the time the deal was closed. How will GE fix the crisis it is facing when there is lack of accountability right at the top! John we expected better from you... I thought at top leadership levels it’s all about taking the organization along to meet organization objectives and not just speaking about your track record. You weren’t interviewing for the CEO job on that show!

Obvious you folks are on the bottom rung of the social and educational ladders. No surprise things have become terrible.

Don't expect to get warm and fuzzes from him, he just does not connect that way. And yes I would agree, GE would be far better off without the xLP programs, they are the reason GE had their head in the sand, the do on average do not belong to external peer groups and blow too much sun shine about the GE way . It is a constant struggle because they know too little and they always want to lead, even when they should take a back seat.

If they are still "trying their best" and "learning" on their job, give them an apprentice's salary please.

John is an excellent leader. Not sure why you rip on him. He just started and trying the best he can.

I am in the XLP leadership program and hope to be in an executive role soon helping him succeed.
