Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Tenured employees layoffs

Staff were notified yesterday that their last day would be 11/24. Many were tenured employees with good knowledge base of the systems and past business processes.

Found this in an older thread, is this true? Haven't heard anything about tenured employees being shown the door...

More and more 10 yr + staff are updating resumes. They see the writing on the wall. The current VPs and directors are trying to hold onto the salaries they know they won't receive outside of UofP. In many cases their knowledge bases will not translate to any other business.

They better hope the tenured staff doesn’t leave. Without them there’s no way they will hit their plan. New staff never last.

Two I know are managers under finance and finaid. One had been with us over 20+ yrs and handled student claims/disputes.
