Lowe’s is looking to fill about 400 full-time jobs at its corporate offices in Mooresville and Wilkesboro.

In a statement Tuesday, the home improvement retailer said it is hiring more than 200 full-time employees for its “central quoting team” in Mooresville. The centralized team will be responsible for preparing floor installation quotes for Lowe’s stores, a task previously handled by store employees, the company said.

Especially if you have a Store Manager only concerns is making full bonus. We have a New Millennial Store manager. Was hired in probably 40K less then the one that was fired. So they dangle that bonus over his head and when the store is doing well in sales goes down to skeleton crews. He knows the stores will "run" with or without people. He doesn't care about customer service. It's not effecting his bonus. All he cares about is what effects him. So Lowe's fires a Manager saves 40K hires one and if he gets full bonus he still makes less then the old store manager and brought in more sales. Lowe's only cares about getting rid of salary. It's not what you can do or how good you are. The store will "RUN" by itself. It might not run well or look good but it's not about that. We are numbers nothing more. So this is why it's failing because NO ONE CARES any more. You can't make a difference so why bother?? I am a CSA 5 and either will be gone less then month or Part Time. I could care less and haven't in a long time. I collect my nice paycheck for now..

I was fired under false claims of not doing my job as a specialist the day after this program took effect. I was making $22.00 an hour and replaced by two people a third my age and half my salary. Now they are fighting to take away my unemployment benefits. I was a regular top 25 performer in my region, the ONLY full timer in my department of flooring. It's never about how much you bring in, it's how much you are costing them.

Its not fake news. It's 100% true. Eventually the stores will reduce Specialists in half. That is the purpose of this.. 400 quote system people and reduce specialists in half per store. So you add 400 and then you remove almost 8K specialists titles. Do the math that is a lot more savings.

Yes they want more workers so the managers can sit back and delegate. This whole concept they are building is flat out stupid. These are low level jobs. People who just get by take them and stay. The smarter ones use it for a hold spot till they get a better job. They want happy people but this type of management won't get people to do the work. They only thing that works in this industry is managers that work side by side with you. People revolt when you have a person that delegates. As a former DM I know they follow you when you lead. Now you are leading by words not actions and everyone is saying FU.. My service manager is a joke. She won't help but make work lists. Good luck with that and top it off she babies the specialists. Creating more issues..
