As someone who is exposed to the store group payroll analysis, I noticed a large amount of payroll fluctuations in upcoming payroll. When I inquired thinking it was an error, I discovered these were payouts to retain our better store group performers who were “at risk” per my supervisor AND this was being funded by several accruals provided by suppliers. What kind of voodoo shell game is this?

I am someone who received a retention bonus of $7,500. Part of the deal was signinging a confidentiality agreement and continuing in my position for 1 year. Maybe I’ll get another one late in 2018!
So working hard gets you nowhere but lies and threats do. What a conscientious company we work for. Flipping (or flushing) all of management may be only way out of this mess.

Desperation is setting in. Turnover at AAP remains the highest in this industry. Embarrassing to work here.
