Merger or not who cares. Industry is dead in the water anyway. The brightest will move to growth industries while the dimmest will stay for the slugfest.

Get ready to hear the phrase BEST OF THE BEST over and over again when they discuss merging the two companies. Problem is they think their system is the best while you lose your benefits and perks. Then the new phrase becomes MORE WITH LESS.

Perfect timing - with campuses expanding and with our Bit department lagging behind our competitors Legacy Smith team will need help taking down Xmas decorations and gardenening Next Year. Baker can fill the gaps! And maybe able to show our guys how to wash a car or 2 in the parking lot!

Even if they did buy BH, they would most certainly do what they did to Smith. First they will admit they screwed up Smith, then they will promise to give you the best of the two companies' benefits. Then they will break every promise they will ever make to you. In five to six years you will welcome a layoff.

After GE realised it was a big financial mistake!

GE likely to sell o&g unit and focuses on light bulb core business.

It is just matter of time slb buys it at much cheaper price, for market share not for tech.
