Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Rebranding

Let me start by saying thank you to the many people that give insight and opinions on this site. It’s a great forum to feel the pulse of the Company. Ironically the site is the layoff.com but I have a feeling most people that post are actually still employed by Windstream. It’s a great place to visit to voice your opinions and yes - hear what former employees are also saying. It’s a beautiful thing to be able to get your thoughts off your chest, so don’t hold it in - fire away ! So where is this Company headed ? 2018 could bring lots of change , for one I believe you will see a creative way to reinvent themselves and it will start with a name change and chopping the Company off into different groups for spinoff possibilities. The board of directors will also have some decisions to make and it starts at the top. The stock has lost an unbelievable amount of value and somebody other than the hardworking employees needs to be held accountable for this. I realize changing the name will not fool most people but you need to rid yourself the cancerous name of WS and start somewhere. The moral of this place has hit an all time low and the forth quarter is almost over and it looks like we’re missing out on the playoffs again. Thanks again to all the many current and former employees that visit and post here !

Wow! CONGRATULATIONS! Comrade Uberführer Grand Poohbah! I hearby award you the Legion of Lenin award for fluency in propaganda and double speak.

  1. Thanks for posting here (or one of your flunkies). We know big brother is watching the masses.

  2. Lies: Stop it, it's not funny and we can tell when you are lying. People will actually respect you more if you just came out and explained that you're evil or incompetent.

  3. Transparency: Unload 100% of documentation showing how you and your yes-men lackeys have destroyed this company with your greed.

  4. Layoffs and hiring: Are you able to give a logical reason why you would layoff experienced technicians and then hire new ones? If this befuddles you, ask one of your dimterns.

  5. Shallowness/shortsightedness: Did anyone ever EXPLANIFY to you that a young new new engineer with no experience can cost a company FAR MORE than the cost savings of laying off an higher paid experienced engineer?

  6. Fraud : How much time does Windstream (Windstream meaning the corrupt and extravagant vacationing CEO) have before the FEDERAL Government finds out that Windstream (Windstream meaning the corrupt and extravagant vacationing CEO) has misdirected FEDERAL FUNDING that was SUPPOSED to go towards expanding services into rural areas. DID Windstream (Windstream meaning the corrupt and extravagant vacationing CEO) use that FEDERAL MONEY to buy another company using $CASH $????????????????????

  7. Bernie Madoff anyone? Bernie Madoff meaning the corrupt and extravagant vacationing CEO.

I think an executive started this thread. This wasn't started by a current or former employee. I was waiting on steam on!

You can change the name but that will not change the fact that the company has been destroyed. It starts at the top. The top started this thread. Read steam. Its almost the exact same wording.

Why they think we are stupid is beyond me. It's our fearless leaders that have failed. The greed and selfishness is beyond criminal. I long for the day when evil men like this would receive their due reward.

Look for the name change to be kinetic since anything over 25m is now called kinetic broadband haha funny there’s not too much too spin off else we’re, only thing left is the name windstream, but I completely agree with you I just look for someone to buy them out, centurylink has been rumored on tring to buy them out for yrs but since windstream has crumbled and they bought level3 communications not quite sure they would take the risk on windstream, wireline industry is slowly faded away and all wireline is in a struggle but windstream is bottom of the tier but I do look for something to really take play in 2018 but no quite sure what it will be, kinda terrifying upon all the workers out there in the field because everyone is glooming towards broadband, all wireless providers are focusing more on broadband for fixed wireless now for rural areas and you have space x wanting to offer broadband service and lord knows the guy who owns space x is the owner of Tesla do 2018 is all up in the air, for broadband to really change n wireline will really take a major fall, us workers in this industry better be ready for a big change in 2018

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. The name is irrelevant. Consumers will figure out in short order who the new kid on the block is (or competitors will tell them).
