If you work offshore Norway you have to pay tax at higher rate this counts for all so your company need to pay you correctly for going there.

See Norway has the right way to treat offshore people and there is no moaning about paying the staff

"The days of making big bucks offshore are long gone unless the oil price hits the roof and stays that way."

And WHY would this be the case?

Firstly, The customer will whinge and moan about any price increase, even the most minimal, that Halliburton would attempt to insert into a contract. (This is the result of Halliburton's idiotic business plan of selling our service, just to maintain its prescence in the market place) (When Halliburton did offer a premium product, they should have NEVER cut their price, as there was NO OTHER company that could offer anything competitive, sadly that is NO LONGER the case, and ALL Halliburton has going for it, is name recognition, and PAST reputation.)

Secondly, WHY would anyone think that any price increase would filter down to the field personnel, when Halliburton's past shows that ONLY management would be the beneficiaries of the increased corporate income.

NEVER, EVER forget that as a field hand, YOU are at the bottom of the food chain, and, as such, YOU are going to be the last to see any rewards for your work.

People remember 1 thing this company shall never change as it does not matter who the ceo is as they do not care about any staff members and most importantly offshore workers it's pretty poor that managers stilll get bonuses and you the board cannot give the boys extra for being offshore xmas along with new year what makes matters worse we had xmas raffle on rig for good cause and guess what jeff miller and Co would not donate gifts due to cut backs but he can donate 10 million dollars to a park in the stares that shows

The board stated that they would bring back benefits back they had cut to staff hope we get another pay rise a long with increase on offshore day rate also don't forget extra for Xmas and new year

Halliburton states staff can retire at 55 this be the words for managers as normal working people have no chance of this happening but if you want people to reuire pay them correctly and next board meeting talk about final salary pension

Apparently HAL employees are pretty evenly split between incompetent management, unskilled labor, and crybabies without the balls to quit. That's a wining combination for sure!

Aberdeen used to be a top oil province but local management has turned it into a cesspit of inexperienced low performers, incredibly bad managers and full of demoralised blunt instruments. It's become the laughing stock of the oil industry. Everyone wants out of there.

What's the big deal about not getting a turkey from HAL? Why not just buy your own they aren't that expensive.

HAL is struggling and can't afford to give anything after throwing $3.5b down the toilet. They are heading for the scrap heap.

It’s not just Halliburton companies don’t give out turkeys anymore, how about that 8 hrs holiday pay?

Somebody got a gun to your head keeping you from quitting? Don't like it? Move on. Otherwise you're just another crybaby without the balls to look for that "good" company.
