Unfortunately it's the trend now in big businesses to treat people like cattle. You are just a number, and at the mercy of superiors who care about nothing more than advancing themselves. And they in turn are at the mercy of their superiors. Companies have forgotten that in order to be truly successful, you need a workforce that feels valued. Being afraid of loosing your job every day makes for an unproductive employee. Companies unfortunately think this is a motivator. If you loose your job, seek out smaller companies who still appreciate a good employee. It might be less money, but you also might be much happier.
