Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Can we talk about the SRM debacle...

Good grief. SRM for enrollment....HORRIBLE. My productivity is completely shot. It is NOT user friendly for enrollment AT ALL. Makes you think though. Were all the IS3 creators laid off, fired, quit?

Again, another, great, upper management decision.

I wish there was a like button for this post. I never reply on these but yes, SRM will be the death of UOP if they do not get rid of it. IS3 is so much better. The grass was not greener on the other side. Bring back IS3 so we can service our students again!!!!

Again SRM;UCP or Vocado it is all here to save money and reduce staff. He did mention quotas, not enrich students. As mentioned get over it and yes we all should leave.

“Director of you” - if you are even a director.....I give you Exhibit A

People running this company and making decisions can’t even use spell check or write coherent sentences.

Now this explains why SRM was thrown on us. LOL

God help us!!!

Good grief stop the crying!,, just do your job and use the tools to your advantage. Are there some stuff that should work? YES. Is there work around sand such? Yes. Are there KB articles that show us or guid us? Yes. The problem is this is how things work in the real world. We are used to the old way of communicating and doing the job. Every industry is going to a stream line process... people are loosing his or her job. Is GCU having a better success rate and per the commercials the greatest University out there? Are other schools claiming that too? Remember we also bragged about it over phone calls and our marketing strategy years ago. Well that bit us in the rear end! EC as we were called back rhencouldsay and do anything to get that REG for the matrices. Calling fake lines and putting calls on hold for 10 minutes was ok until you got caught. The matrix ruled outer lives. Remember the flyers on cube walls. Do not for get to aus to break... time changes things get over it and find some happiness some where else.

That Director of Business post is fake news for sure, even if I do imagine BR or RK being that out of touch with reality. It’s no secret directors and everyone above enrollment managers s--- at their job. EM’s are just a mouth piece at this point, I don’t blame them. Just look how bad we are FAILING! If that’s managements mentality, that is a reason why our doors will be shut by this time next year. Guarantee it.

The call centers need to get the working methods of other groups. There is no need to have such a tight control of staff, give them flexability. Leaders can still monitor staff. Why are leaders so ingrained not to trust employees?

As for QC yes that will go away.

The new mission is reductions.

I think enrollment being the new QC will probably happen. After all, the training video was geared towards a call center environment.

Regarding IS3enr, what lawsuits?

Lastly, Director in the COB, if this is even real, your post proves the point that we reps have seen for years - how completely out of touch you really are. This "college" we work for cares less about its employees than any place Ive ever heard of or worked. The fact that the college is constantly reactive rather than proactive astounds us. SRM is a prim3 example that was thrust upon us, and is failing in an astounding way. Also, if you want us to work harder, treat us better. Provide more flexibility. PAY US. Yiu wonder why GCU is on its way to crushing us? Theyre employees are happy. Go back to the 16, daily meetings you have in your boys club and continue to ignore us like always. Youll find out the outcome soon enough.

I'm surprised the QC lasted this long. I thought they would have had enrollment take over the QC duties a long time ago.

Well, it sound like the QC is ending.

I do not know why you are complaining. You are getting back all the files you worked and others from now to 2 years ago. Now you have more opportunities to get those students back to school or get mad at you for contacting them. Now all day you can be busy instead of watching movies on your phone. Or playing games on your phone or plain goofing off all day. So shut up turn around and get to work.

Again this is not about students. It’s and reductions and savings. Step back and listen to their message and the ask from the president for more savings.

Why would they want the reps to stop tracking students? That doesn’t make sense since they are pushing retention.

Uopx is toast

IS3enr is being decommissioned because of the lawsuits its currently fighting. UOPX is trying to stop reps from tracking students older than 3 months. Its going to bite them in the a$$ because retention is going to ZERO as a result. Dont believe me just watch!

It’s about saving, not student outcomes. We are an investment opportunity not educators. Sad because many long timers care about our students.

The whole plan is to reduce the headcount that handle students. ASU has 49 staff for more students, we are wayyyyy unbalanced. SRM and UCP setup the environment to balance the load so then we can do reductions at will. It’s about reductions, period.

I still don’t understand the reasoning behind this one, like most moves they make. Big change before a January that we need to hit and month that is historically one of our biggest months for enrollment. It’s almost like they are trying to sink the ship. Anyways, you’re right, it’s a disaster. Most people on my team in enrollment are using is3 more than Salesforce. Management makes us watch a few videos and then throws us to the wolves. What were they thinking....?
