There was a post a couple of days ago about GOMs SCM group. It is no longer available. Is it because SCMs leadership team does not want their dirty laundry to be exposed. Republicans have a right to know.32

Layoffs did happen at CVX unfortunately not enough management personnel were shown the door. Still a lot of overpaid folks in management positions who use their status to remove lower level personnel.
CVX layoffs were devastating to 10,000 families. The tyrants at CVX bully he layoffs site. Go to Glassdoor instead.

After20 years with Chevron I am still waiting for someone to take a serious look at SCM both at the corporate level and the new GOM team.
The GOM crew is running the show now. Could be a good thing. The old DWEP SCM leadership lacked integrity and ethics was non existent. The jury is out on the new organization.
Sorry I missed it. That should be an interesting merger, because the animosity between those 2 groups was so thick you could have cut it with a chainsaw. After DWEP was created, the GOM crew could never get over the fact that they were not running the show.
Haven’t seen the post, but I bet it contained names or any other personal identifiable info. That’s not allowed here.They also nuke posts containing personal insults. And if you violate the site rules hard, admins nuke all you ever written and block your IP.
1qvj - Look elsewhere for innovation, where? The poster offered a viable solution. Where’s yours? Or maybe you only offer opinions? No wonder Chevron will never pull itself out of the hole it’s in - just opinions, but no solutions.
“experience at ExxonMobil to clean things up“... what nonsense! Exxon bleeds high achiever technology talent faster than any company I know, despite a huge R&D spend. They are an engineering company with strong militaristic organization structure. They do project management well, with solid cost containment, which is important, but not sufficient. Look elsewhere for innovation.
Good insight with what you say, twg. It’s also true the corporate environment at Chevron is not that healthy. Our CEO should hire a Senior Executive VP with 20+ years experience at ExxonMobil to clean things up around here. It’s much needed.
The administrator is very subjective in editing or blocking IP addresses (you can get around it). Where some posts are ridiculous/mean remain on the site, other posts less demoralizing by comparison get deleted. The way I see it, it's a layoff site, so there are a number of people laid off expressing their views from their different stages of their loss - anger, depressed, acceptance.... Take away their job, then take away their right to express their opinions?! Anymore, this site really is more for those in-house discussing their change of benefits anonymously. It let's me, as an investor, know that the corporate environment at Chevron is not healthy.
If the post was of any value to the Chevron Layoffs forum and wasn’t loaded with derogatory comments, it shouldn’t have been deleted. Navigate this site and you’ll find a lot of threads with lude and infantile comments that are still there to read. It’s likely the topic on the GOM Supply Chain Management (SCM) is gone because something in the thread got under someone’s skin.
