"Affected employees will be given competitive benefits and job transition assistance, according to a spokesperson." this statement is very misleading. The management is very good at making big promises, making up dreams, talking about loyalty, talking high of themselves but s--- at core. They are literally criminals to destroy many families/lives during holiday times. Many hard working and smart people who are backbones of the work-force/processes are being laid off. These people will surely find better opportunities else where but .......how realistic it is that GE would be able to compete in market without these folks ? GE's leadership and their high talk of big promises, recovery, growth and loyalty are just sham !!! God bless the folks affected and hope they find better opportunities soon.
Sell it to Hitachi, before it is too late.
That is because the GE spokes person declined to disclose the numbers as they always do per company policy.
That article is useless - it just points to a WARN notice and has a generic description (i.e., 'layoffs are happening')
