I am curious what will happen when the real estate market does finally tank. And Sidney becomes a majority bank owned community.

Could be maybe the city leadership will finally get it through their collective thick skulls that maybe it is time to tighten their budgets. When the cash cow of high real estate taxes dries up.

Decrease in property are you kidding me. This is the government and on top of it is Sidney Nebraska. A person probably have more of a winning the lottery then seeing their property taxes go down. I guess every one needs a good joke once in awhile in Sidney Nebraska.

It nauseates me every time I drive my that monstrosity. It is a monument to bad taste. And to think the upkeep and tax bill will be the burden of this community for decades to come.

We've been had!

I don't think there are too many houses effected by the $10,000 property tax cap in Sydney. And the Cabela's 'Mansion" pays 0 dollars in property tax. The rich get richer...

Effectively a 33% tax increase since you won't be able to write it off after the republican FEDERAL tax increase.
