Thread regarding Western Digital Corp. layoffs

Begging to be sued

Working at Western Digital can be a nightmare on so many levels. Not really sure if there's even a discrimination box left unchecked.

I've personally witnessed situations that were clear age discrimination, bullying, and s-xual harassment. I guess as a younger guy I'm lucky to avoid some of those, but nobody is safe from poor management that takes its frustration out on those under them over their own incompetence.

Screaming at employees is nothing new here. Any mistake they make they'll make sure to pin on one of us.

The combination of all of these makes me think that Western Digital is simply begging to be sued. I wouldn't be surprised if there was even a discrimination class action against them at some point.

I did consider suing but I can’t afford to lose more time on a Na-i company that rewards verbal abuse. Not worth the time lost for justice. I just quit :) one of the best career decisions ever.

OP - be a part of the solution. If you see something, say something. You can do it anonymously. If you don't speak up for others, who is going to speak up for you?

Arbitration agreements are in place.

All employees were covered by those, so you just cannot sue them as you please.

Noone in the valley has the money to sue big guys.

Thanks, legal beagle! WD, like all big companies, gets sued by employees all the time. It's public record. Just look it up. It's just a cost of doing business.
