GE Power management is completely disconnected to how the business works from the bottom up and what happens in manufacturing and the service business unlike the management that used to run the business who were true experts that grew up from technical ranks. This is why GE Power is a mess that has been unfolding from years of bad decisions.
Now the organization is burdened with duplication after duplication from Atlanta and Alstom instead of just a few vertically integrated product department and service facilities. Huge ineffective cost structure and don't make parts anymore, just try to mark up what they buy and cash flows outward to others that eat our value added lunch.
GE Power is s structural mess now that needs fixing by making it want it used to be and restoring the technical capabilities of the organization.
