Anyone know what the management group is being told this week?

The managers are being pulled into re-org meetings this week. Anyone have a clue what that's about?

If it's any consolation the November Illinois state warn notices were just published and SF didn't add anything public since the warn notice published in Feb 2017. 78 folks.

I agree with the last two posts. To me, this re-org is just a doubling down on the stupidity that got us here with CDE/ICP. The executives destroyed systems, and now their way to fix it is to destroy it some more. Their only goal here is cost reduction, on the balance sheet. They may actually get that, as they never had a good way of tracking Systems accomplishments to begin with, and they certainly will be paying far less in salaries.

I just hope they're not actually expecting to get any work done.

I agree you can see who the kiss asses our on the sphere... They just are so happy and excited to praise this cluster f--- of a re-org..

No rules, just deploy deploy faster... No process or design just a lot of meetings to status a status and deploy...

How many outages have we seen in the last 4-5 months... Idiots

No clue. But is sure is funny to talk with management. I spoke with 2 systems AVPs who were shown the door for their stellar work. Both in their mid 50s had some BS story about how they were planning to retire in 2018 anyway...so this offer was too good to pass up. I guess they have to save face amongst their peer group?

First-line managers seem to be in one of 2 camps, those who will honestly tell you this is a desparate, ill conceived, cluster attempt to wake up a 40 years asleep systems department. And those who ignorantly drink the kool-aid from above and play cheerleader in hopes management above them will reward their loyalty...
