Why does everyone just complain on this feed ? If you hate the company that much or the management, just leave and find a new job. If you have been with the company for 5 to 10+ yrs, you have been part of the problem because you have said nothing or done anything that has mattered. Make a difference, either way something to management or quit being a b--ch and leave.....#quitbeingabitch

Ok, people I sympathize greatly with GE’s news of layoff, I am a former employee I started with the Company 21 years ago and left after 10 years because my Department was being Outsourced to India and that mean many of us no longer had jobs, fortunately I was given another position, but after 6 months I resigned because I was just disgusted when I saw a decline in the business. So when I say people hold on I say it with faith that something major is due to come out of this to benefit all
This is a layoff forum. If you want to be a Pollyanna why don't you go back to LinkedIn? This is for the pissed off. The sloughed off. The people who have a lot of time off. Because they've either been, or are about to be, f**ing laid off!

It would seem easy to someone to say if you complain, "why don't you just leave GE." One would have to be inside GE to to even come close to understanding the issues. GE is in a real spiral, now attempting to sell off its assets to prosperity. This goes much further than the "Shop Guys". My fear is that turmoil won't end without a long grueling death of a thousand Power Points.
I vent here. I feel better after venting.
Looks like the shop guys are complaining again.... stop whining, put your cell phone down, put the paper down and start sweeping..... By working harder and smarter, you might just save your job....
The best way to get ahead with this lot is to keep your mouth shut and not think for yourself. Let others think for you and then they'll tell you what to do next.

Some of these BL's think they are smarter than us who have been dealing with the building of the products a long time. They are arrogant, young and immature............................. Try this ..reality, when you do try to do something to really move the needle to get GE honoring its reality, you are usually slashed down from the ITLP graduates who have been drinking the "GE is the best Koolaid", "why look to join peer groups outside when we got it all here attitude". If there is one single group in GE, and across GE that poisoned the innovation and it ability to be egoless it is the ITLP program. Undo that and GE has a better culture in my opinion.

Uh, it's a layoff board- what do you expect people to do, post smiley's and rejoice?
The site is beneficial as an early warning indicator to see which companies are starting mass reductions - no different that water cooler/coffee room talk but with a wider audience.
If you don't like to see people gripe about layoffs, why do you go visit a layoff board? - that's the REAL question. Do you normally visit places that annoy you on YOU OWN CHOICE?
