Really, please respond honestly, what are your thoughts?
I have a feeling if we were to offer them 10% of what they make they'd still do the job with same quality (good or bad).
Please keep it civil, otherwise mods delete posts.

No. But that's what happens when executive recruiters and lawyers get involved in writing contracts and Wall Street signs off on the high wages. 98% of the executives are not worth what they're paid. What do you think the newly appointed CFO and former president of World's Foremost Bank that now works for Bass Pro are being paid? Are THEY worth it? When it comes time for a wage freeze or hiring freeze do you think the executives are affected? Most often not and if they are, they're the biggest whiners of them all. How many executives that you work for or worked for motivated you to do your job to the best of your ability without the threat of being fired? You look towards your supervisors and executives for leadership. If that's not there, what's your motivation to excel at your job? For some, it's just a strong work ethic, for others, they'll do just enough to get by and screw with the morale of their team. We've all been there, done that and continue to do that for a paycheck. Executives need to look inward to see if they're worth it when it comes time for cost cutting, but they never do. They just hack the little guy that produces for them and then move on with the business.
