Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

How many managers do you report to?

I'm just curious, how many managers do you report to? I'm relatively new to SLB, so maybe it's that I'm not yet used to it, but boy this's ridiculous. There're direct managers, functional managers, even other managers, all of who then have their own set of managers... How does this company even function? Who makes the decisions? I've learned to turn to older folks who've been here longer if I've any questions, because otherwise I wouldn't know who to turn to. Seriously, I think it's pretty clear where the dead weight in this company is...

That is right, and it have been like that for 15 years and no one get kick out unless they retire with full package. If that what you call kick out. Slb forever

Slb's first goal in business is not to hurt customer operation,

Having that in place, if slb recognizes a weight and dragging employee, i.e. fat a-- manager,it is just matter of time to kick him/her out.

No mercy ethics.

Viva slb.
