Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Alert

Even if they buy us, it won't fix our problem. They will need to cut at least half on our side and cut their side as well to stay just above the water. In long run they won't even need applucation processor. This one is so narrow margin not worth it. It will be only modem from us and wifi, ble from them. That is about it.

INTEL knows how to take care of itself .. QCOM + AVGO is nothing.. It's a low margin game .. Move to east/South Asia to be a viable player .. Being in US and trying to be low margin player is like buying your coffin..

@qcr Yes, they are the ones who sued us and who have driven EVERY single attempt at getting into the mobile business into the ground!

@ndk So you care more about Intel getting screwed than about your job and career?

Sometimes I wonder if people confuse their companies with football teams.

I was hoping google or other good firms to acquire qcom not like this brcm sh--. Isn't this the one who sued qcom and failed after that quite a bit? Now they are taking us? what a shame

A friend of mine works at Broadcom Networking ASIC and in 2015 he was concerned about his job after Avago acquisition, he thought his team would be impacted. Two years later this guy was promoted and got a raise. The guy is now busy as never before.
