Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Broadcom solution

Q is in a steep decline for 3 years and with an incompetent management. The current corruptive politics would get tamed only by an external force. If you are an experienced hands-on engineer with valuable technical skills, what would you loose with Broadcom acquisition? I would prefer Broadcom over NXP. Am I shortsighted?

Agree, these useless VP's don't know how to change things around, they are so incompetent that desperately need external sources to fix the mess they have created. I am happy that Broadcom can come and layoff these bastards.

OP here: (nothing to lose) - last week a VP called for a meeting to discuss the concerns from the team (I thought he would communicate layoffs) and it was clear for me that there was a hidden agenda he would not discuss. The meeting was entirely unproductive with no questions and no answers, very bizarre. I then found out about the Broadcom bid here and things started to make sense. Q is beyond the point of no return and the only solution should come from an external agent (i.e. being acquired) to resolve all the infighting, corruption and incompetence. Seems simple and painful.
